Like I don't need showtime because I have Power DVD, I'll probably use backitup too, but that's about it, and that label maker program if I could get it to work better. There's not much else I need from that program unfortunately, I wish I could just buy the Nero Burning Rom program standalone. So a couple things to straighten out but I like the burning interface. Oh, and the label maker program that comes with it is really annoying imo, it has glitches or something. It also changed some registry entries or something for Media Player. Even Windows Media Player has a big Nero Icon and other stuff co-mingled in with it. It did seem kind of infectious though, in that every folder I open seems to have some nero file in it. I've installed the demo of Nero 7 Ultra and I can burn fine with that no prob.

WHERE IS MY ROXIO PROGRAM HOW TO

If some kid can give you step by step screenshots of how to do things, one would think the paid staff could come of with equivalent how-to's.I have Nero 6 OEM, but it was giving me a hassle about Burn Rights, I installed it and the Burn Rights and it never worked right. Roxio seems to be the same type of organization. I guess it provided a niche for bloggers that can actually help you out on how to navigate their software. Unfortunately, everyone followed their lead. So much better to give you a book that you could decipher but actually see all the possible commands. They save $10 but caused hours/days of frustration.

WHERE IS MY ROXIO PROGRAM MANUAL

I really do think the dumbest thing Microsoft did was eliminate a true printed documentation manual that allowed you to read it at your leisure and learn about everything that was built into their OS. Gives you a heads up about what type of program it will open with. Itis always the first thing I do after a fresh install. It is easy to do just go to Control Panel and choose Folder Options and under the view tab, uncheck the box for "Hide File Extensions for Known File Types". A file extension is just a three letter attachment to the name of a file that indicates which type of file it is. Having file extensions showing is actually very useful as it indicates what type of files you regularly deal with. Free programs tend to call them IMAGE files rather than ISO.

WHERE IS MY ROXIO PROGRAM ISO

Unfortunately, mostly paid programs use ISO in their name such as MagicISO, PowerISO etc. There are many types of image files ISO, NRG, IMG etc. I usually capitalize "image" to emphasize you should be looking for that option. zip file, that could be understood by many programs to unpack them into a certain order, a snapshot of the files to be copied so to speak. Over the course of time I learned that in computer speak that meant putting your files in a container file (ISO), sort of like a. I had problems with associating the word image to pictures as well. Thank you all for your kindness and persistance. That's because I know what it's like to be totally clueless and I could probably anticipate where ordinary mortals get stumped.

WHERE IS MY ROXIO PROGRAM SOFTWARE

I do believe I could write better software documentation than what I've seen out there, though. Dumb machine! Just sits there and looks at you. I can see why people smash up their computers from time to time. I really apologize for being such a dunce. Duh! Now I don't have to spend a half hour copying the original over and over. So now the file is on my hard drive under C:\.\Roxio Projects\. When I began with "copy disc to image" it put the file on my hard drive instead of, well, wherever it puts it with just "copy disc". I figured it was safer to just use the "copy disc" icon. An image is a picture as far as I'm concerned. I am in business!īUT does anyone know, at what point I can save the image to a file? After I have burned a copy I click on File, Save as.but the "save" function is greyed out.

WHERE IS MY ROXIO PROGRAM TV

Great program! I was able to copy a DVD and create a disc which plays flawlessly on my TV DVD player. So, I went out and purchased the above Roxio program from Best Buy. It took me a couple days to completely uninstall the original program and its associated crap files, and now my computer is working again. Honest to goddess, I think I could write better software documentation! Background: After having a hapless experience downloading a DVD burning program (it put a shitload of pop-ups and mini-programs on my computer, which became all but unresponsive. I have printed out the "Saving a burn data disc project as a disc image file" from the manual, but I don't understand it. On how to SAVE an image file (I guess they call that a 'project') that I've copied so I can go back to it, a day or so later, and burn another copy without having to re-copy the original DVD each time.
